Project goal and background |
The main purpose of this project is to increase Guba and Khachmaz region farmers` awareness about fruit diseases and measures to fight against diseases especially related to growing Japanese Fuji apple variety. The main target groups are farmers of Guba and Khachmaz region of Azerbaijan Republic where apple and pear sorts cultivated and harvested. The project consists of making two publications and informative booklet approved by Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan as well as conducting seminar. |

Project result |
Awareness of Guba and Khachmaz region farmers about fruit diseases and measures to fight against diseases especially related to growing Japanese Fuji apple variety increased. Seminar provided the opportunity to meet the farmers of Guba and Khachmaz regions and specialists Guba Regional Center for Agrarian Science and Innovation, as well as to learn about JICA activities in Azerbaijan and JICA mini grant projects for JICA Alumni Association. |
