Our trip to Japan, the land of the rising Sun, which is consisting of 6852 islands and stretching along the East Asia coasts of the Pacific Ocean started from the Narita International Airport located in Tokyo with hospitality of the Japanese people as a demonstration of their high development.

So, from the Obihiro Airport we have been brought to “Feriendorf” cottages located in the village of Nakasatsunai of Tokachi prefecture, which is surrounded by greenery. Especially it was interesting the fascinating scenery of trees and green plants, extremely silent environment, cottages in forest surrounded by tall trees and chirping of squirrels, jumping from tree to tree enjoying of such a beauty.

We began get aquatinted with all participants from different countries taking part at the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Training on “Development and Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises of the Central Asia and South Caucasus” conducted from 25 July to 11 August 2017.

Despite the fact that our presentation was prepared on the basis of video material of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture about socio-economic development of Azerbaijan, our tourism opportunities, cultural and national heritage, we also presented about local enterprises producing milk or milk products, their activity directions, manufactured products. Moreover, the presentation covered the information about national policy on the promotion of production of non-oil products under the brand “Made in Azerbaijan” as well as their sale in the foreign markets, development of the agrarian sector as measures for the extension of export of meat and milk products of Azerbaijan to Russia in a view to extending 20 milk producing enterprises included into the registry by the Federal Service for Veterinary and Fitosanitar Control under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation as well as about our mutual cooperation with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and joint “FOODEX Japan” trade show.

Furthermore, our trip to Sapporo, the biggest city and the capital of the Island began from the city Otaru. We were not satiated along the way. At the Sapporo Olympic Museum, the mysterious view of the city was especially excited from the cable car. One of the memorable days was the wedding ceremony of the Japanese couple in the Buddha Temple, and the good wishes expressed by the guys to each other.

On the last week of the Program, a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean from the mountain peaks, the sailing of our friends, despite the cold weather, and large seashells on the coast reminded us that we really were in Japan.

That is how our trip to Japan, which will never be erased from our memories, will always be remembered by events full of pleasant and sensitive emotions, that can always have a special place in our career as young leaders due to valuable information came to an end.

Overall, our special thanks go to the Government of Japan, JICA, JICA Regional Office in Uzbekistan, JICA Program Coordinator in Baku, and of course to Jun Katori and Nauka San. And with great pleasure we would like to say “With hope to meet”.
